The M83E series lab microscope is one of OMAX’s best-selling models thanks to its combination of usability and affordability. Features include an adjustable trinocular viewing head with a dedicated photo port, mechanical stage controls and focusing, and energy-efficient LED illumination. It provides fundamental features in a compact form making it ideal for use in veterinary offices, clinics, schools, and homes.

Viewing Head

The trinocular viewing head has a comfortable 45° incline for viewing while seated or standing, and can be swiveled 360°. Ocular spacing can be easily customized using sliding interpupillary adjustment. Dual diopters allow both eyepieces to be focused independently. The trinocular photo-port adds a dedicated mounting tube for cameras. The 23mm tube is height-adjustable to fine-tune the focus to match the eyepieces. Its simul-focal design allows simultaneous use with both eyepieces so no switching is necessary.

Optics

The microscope is equipped with four objective lenses mounted on a rotating turret to quickly move through the various magnifications. The lenses use DIN international standards, and are achromatically corrected to improve clarity and color accuracy. They provide a magnification range from 10X to 1000X when used with the standard 10X eyepieces, ideal for viewing a wide range of specimens including cellular structures and bacteria. Additional 25X eyepieces are included to expand the maximum magnification to 2500X with 6 unique levels.

Specimen Stage

The 2-layer mechanical stage provides smooth and precise movement for examination of specimen slides. The stage’s low-position controls are conveniently placed near the coaxial focus knobs for a streamlined workflow. Examining specimen slides is intuitive and precise for users at any skill level.

LED Illumination

The LED sub-stage lighting provides cool, energy-efficient illumination. The light-source is daylight balanced to produce natural colors. The Abbe light condenser has a high 1.25 numerical aperture for oil-immersion, and an iris diaphragm to optimize contrast and depth-of-field. The condenser holder uses rack-and-pinion height adjustment for precision control.

The AmScope SM-1BSX-64S professional stereo zoom microscope has a pair of 10x super-widefield high eyepoint eyepieces, a 0.7x-4.5x zoom objective, a 0.5x Barlow lens, and a pillar stand. The microscope has an overall magnification range of 3.5x-45x. The binocular viewing head has an interpupillary range of 55 to 75mm, a 45-degree inclination to reduce eye and neck strain, and 360-degree rotation to enable sharing. The WH10x20mm super-widefield high-eyepoint eyepieces combine with the 0.7x-4.5x zoom objective to provide 7x-45x continuous zoom magnification and a longer working distance for inspecting large-scale specimens that require handling or repair. High-eyepoint objectives ease viewing for users who wear glasses, and dioptric adjustment accommodates individual eye-strength differences. The microscope includes a 0.5x Barlow lens that can be added to the objective to decrease the magnification to 3.5x-22.5x. Microscopes are widely used in education, lab research, biology, metallurgy, engineering, chemistry, manufacturing, and in the medical, forensic science, and veterinary industries.
