How were they able to do that? Are the lands not mined? Are the men not fighting? Will the ports really be free? What is the percentage of 5million acres from the entire arable land?
How many acres sown last years
With the help of their new Russian equipment. Ukrainian farmers are putting up record numbers
So companies are just price gouging? Cool.
Is it allowed to use POW for this work?
Soooo msm and the gov telling everyone the reason food prices going up is cos of the Ukraine war being unable to supply is …. false?
We don’t deserve Ukrainians. Heroes.
Feeding the world while acting as a shield for all of democracy.
They’ve also managed to upgrade their equipment with parts of stolen Russian tanks.
I’m afraid this is very optimistic when you see the wheat planting figures for Ukraine, a lot of the fighting and disruption has taken place in the areas where a significant proportion of the wheat crop is grown.
Might be fine for other ag commodities, but the Ukrainian wheat export programme is enormous.
First the Ukrainian Farmers collect those tanks, then they collect their harvest to feed the starving.
Ya all know this will be a joke going down in history.
How?
Heroes, seriously.
What about fertiliser and pesticides? I understand some production was destroyed by the Russians.

The main issue is logistics. Mykolayiv region has too much wheat and winter wheat needs to be harvested with no free warehouses, but it was usually transported via ships and that is impossible now.
I hope Ukraine can get some heavy outside investment even post war. They have shown true nobility and respect considering everything they have done so far in this tough situation. Seriously, they’re the best.
F*ck Putin.
Sunflower seed’s oil gonna have a glorious taste next year!
I guess all the russian tanks the farmers took are helping.
Nice, but there will be issues.
Many people are not available for the work (soldiers, not in the country anymore,…), farmers destroyed their own fuel tanks, and so on.
There are problems to come. One Ukrainian farmer who was in Germany for many years was invited to an interview and talked about the problems. He is responsible for 120.000 acres. He has around 2300 employees in normal times. In the time of the interview (a few weeks ago) not even 200 were available.
He talked about a lot of interesting stuff and problems to come.
Anyone who is interested, but it’s in german. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1J3QDZsjNGk
LOL.
With how much support the west is giving, it’s the least they can do.
I read that Polish councils and agricultural organisations are collecting donations of seeds- not just for farmers, but also ordinary citizens, so they can sown at least some for food. From wheat to potatoes, through radish, carrot and beetroot, to peas and cabbage- I think it is brilliant idea.
Australian farmers are donating grains to Ukraine as well as some of their profits. https://www.abc.net.au/news/rural/2022-04-14/australian-farmers-donate-grain-to-ukrainian-counterparts/100989452 https://www.abc.net.au/news/rural/2022-04-14/australian-farmers-donate-grain-to-ukrainian-counterparts/100989452 This is grand idea.
Ukrainian farmers are not giving up, they do what they can, so they should get any help possible. They are heroes.
I mean, these are Ukranian farmers we’re talking about. They’ll sow millions of acres and confiscate hundreds of Russian tanks. All in a day’s work.
Ukraine is a staging ground for proxy war between USA/NATO and Russia. Russia is attacking military bases in Ukraine. So there’s no reason agriculture should have issues.
Are they using their recently acquired “farm equipment” to speed up the process?
Full-scale invasion by the largest country on the planet, we’re told its the worst war & humanitarian disaster since WW2… yet agricultural exports unaffected… Call me skeptical but something isn’t right here…
are those not ruined by Russian bombs?
