And here we see where words written on parchment and ratified by Congress on December 15, 1791 created the basis by which America is governed. The quintessential problems with the Constitution and it's Bill of Rights are that it was drafted over 232 years ago, when times were simpler and less complex and diverse as they are today. The framers of the Constitution could not have foreseen nor predicted pistols and rifles that are capable of firing multiple rounds per second, nor could they have any conception of how the words of the First Amendment could be construed by an extremist political party, and vulnerable due to news of the world traveling at the speed of light at our finger tips, and that that news could be false, damaging, and compromise the national security of Americans and our allies.
We, us, the American people along with our three branches of government MUST work together to "properly" amend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It is desperately overdue.
