Get up early as shit, drive to the Pentagon or Andrews, park, walk forever to get into the building, go check in, switch uniforms, do early checks, check flight itinerary, check in with boss, check in with flight crew, check in with air traffic, and a TON of things more, before you even lift off. Not the best AM commute. Traffic was insane today. Anyone know why? Don’t be a smartass It is 2022, where is my flying car? You jest, but there are folks that go to the Pentagon via helicopter. And when I was commuting to Ballston from 95, I’d take my motorcycle right up hov, past the Pentagon and to 66, take 10-15 mins tops. But then they mowed down all the trees next to the helipad, which just worsened the chaos when all the traffic would almost plow into me because ‘ermergahd helicopter landing’. But what was worse was the wind buffer, which was not existent, and I discovered this when a damn Osprey landed and almost blew me off the bike. That was less than ideal. I love the guy in the gunner position in the lead helicopter. “Da fuck dey doin down der” Maybe for the passengers. Flying those takes a lot of planning and coordination. Those are probably POTUS helos – they fly up the river on their way to Camp Washington – not sure where these are going. Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
