“Absolutely not. That’s highly offensive.”

“Is it white man?!?!?”

That’s my favorite.

Every scene with Ken Hotate is incredible. In some ways I wish we got more but often times with characters like his it’s the novelty that makes it so good!

There are two things I know about white people. They love Matchbox 20, and they are terrified of curses.

My personal favorite is “Slowly taking our money back from white people, one quarter at a time.”

I still think about his throwaway line when Leslie compliments his tie.

“My son sells them on Etsy. He is a huge disappointment.”

I’ll have to find this away as I’ve only been using Angela’s response: “It’s an invitation,” to that question.

Mine:

Ann: Mr. Hotate, hi. Thank you for coming. Would you like some water?

Ken Hotate: Water? Like fire water? That’s racist, and I do not appreciate it.

Ann: No, no, no, no, no. I-I didn’t mean it like that. I just meant, you know-

Ken Hotate: I’m just messing with you.

Ann: Oh, my God! [laughs]

Leslie Knope: He’s funny. This guy’s funny. He does that sometimes.

Ken Hotate: But seriously. I’ll have a whiskey.

How often do you get asked that question

My favorite is in _Zero Effect_:

“Are you threatening me?”

“Yes. I’m threatening to kill you. I have a gun and everything.”

I love this! I’m learning Spanish and using flashcards and this is my image for “amenazar” (to threaten.)

Ken Hotate is the best part of P&R, I wish there was more of him.

The very simple reaction to Leslie telling him she faked artifacts to stop the dig: “That… is not great.”
