My mum, Kate – at her ad agency job in 1976. She just turned 70.

She’s a creative, mother, collector of fake food, ad-boss, wife, hard-grafter, carer, blogger, collector of black Pilot fine-liners, cartoonist for The New Yorker, romantic, realist, psychologist and collector of small plastic kid’s toys. I love her.

I wonder if she knew she was living the good old times.

Get your motor runnin’
Head out on the highway
Looking for adventure
In whatever comes our way
Yeah, darlin’ gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space…….

That is a great, great photo.

I started in the ad business about 10 years after your photo was taken (just before computers took over) and it really takes me back.

Thank you for posting it.
