The other competitor on the right is the 2021 Europe’s Strongest Man champion Luke Stoltman of Scotland.

Every clip I have seen of strongman contests they always have such good sportsmanship and congratulate each other with a smile at the end. So wholesome.

I love the camaraderie that exists in powerlifting. In a lot of other sports the competitors will be very hostile toward their opponents, but every single video of powerlifting I’ve seen has the competitors cheering each other on and congratulating each other for their hard work

jesus that’s so much weight. I could have MAYBE get it off the ground enough to slip some paper under one at my strongest.

Is height a factor that is considered when designing strongman events? This event seems like it would become much more difficult if you can’t clear the step with just a deadlift.

These men just casually lifting 500 lbs is absolute insanity and we’ve somehow normalized it. Good on these guys.

Fucking love the hug at the end. This is what being a man is all about. Compete your heart out but recognize the other guy at the end of the day.

Whats funny is in an intense competition like this nobody has the energy to be mad about losing.
