This image shows B cells (green), T cells (red), and proliferating cells (cyan) in a healthy mouse spleen imaged on a confocal microscope. We use a multiplex fluorescence microscopy platform to visualize several cell markers in one tissue.

This image was submitted to the University of Chicago’s 2024 Science as Art competition. From bacteria to bolts for telescopes, the entries display the gorgeous landscape of scientific research going on every day at the University of Chicago.
