A $1.8 million settlement has been proposed to resolve claims that Kohl’s and Capital One deceptively charged consumers for credit monitoring. The settlement would benefit a Class of consumers who opened a Kohl’s Private Label Credit Card before Apr. 11, 2011 and who, between Feb. 13, 2012 and Oct. 31, 2013, paid $14.99 a month for PrivacyGuard but did not complete the second enrollment step. Well, folks, I think it’s time. We consider the fact that there’s a good chance that Clarence Thomas May be the most corrupted Supreme Court justice to ever serve on the United States Supreme Court. It was revealed this week, once again by ProPublica that Thomas had accepted a gift that he did not report in the form of tuition payments of $6,000 per month for his great nephew’s private school. Now, this great nephew of, uh, Clarence Thomas, he said in the 2007 interview, we’re raising him as a son. So you’re raising him as if he is your son. Therefore, any tuition payments to this child for this child would be viewed as a reportable gift for the justice. And he didn’t report it. However, there was another donor who wasn’t a multi-billionaire who did pay some of the tuition too, and Clarence Thomas did report that one, but he didn’t report the thousands and thousands of dollars in tuition payments made from Harlan Crow.
So Republicans who were out there saying like, it wasn’t his kid, he didn’t have to do this. Harlan Crow, just a guy that loves kids’ education. Nope, cuz he reported the one but didn’t report the other. So it shows you that not only, not only was this reportable, but Clarence Thomas knew, he knew how this would look if he reported the money from Harlan Crow. So he made the intentional decision to not report that one, but to report the other one. You have intent. Now folks, if this were a criminal trial, that would be the smoking gun and he would be convicted.
But it’s not a criminal trial. There’s nothing we can do. There’s nothing we can do. I mean, that could be it. Like we could just fade to black right now cuz there’s nothing we can do. Now you do finally have some Democrats in the Senate that are getting off. They’re off that Chief Justice John Roberts refused to come and willingly testify. And they said they’re requesting documents from Clarence Thomas. If he doesn’t turn over those documents, they’ll see what their legal avenue is after that. But here’s the thing that I I, I talked about last time when we talked about Roberts, if they end up issuing a subpoena to Clarence Thomas and Thomas just simply says, I’m not gonna comply, then what? Right? Because I know some people out there on social media are saying, listen, the Democrats actually can do a lot about this and they’re gonna do it. Relax. But that’s the thing is like even if the Democrats try to do the things and Clarence Thomas
Just says no. Okay, so where do you take it? The Supreme Court, like every justice would have to recuse themselves. So then what happens? Then? What happens if those justices don’t recuse themselves and vote to protect him from the subpoena? You still can’t do anything about ’em. You don’t have the numbers to impeach ’em all. So at the end of the day, like I’m looking 10 steps ahead, while some people are like, no, there’s still one and two steps. Those little baby steps of things we could do don’t matter because ultimately at the end the Supreme Court can just say no and then we can’t do anything. Then we’re screwed. But we have a lawless Supreme Court, we have a corrupted justice, both him and his wife, Jenny Thomas, cuz I know we’re all familiar with her issues. And this is nuts. This is nuts that we can’t do anything. This is nuts.

Donald Trump’s lawyer, Joe Taina, has sent a letter to the court begging them to please give us an extra month before Donald Trump has to go on trial. In the trial for the case brought by Eugene Carroll alleging that he sexually assaulted her in a department store dressing room in the early 1990s. This, of course, is the famous Eugene Carroll case, the one that I more than any of these other Trump investigations have been waiting for for so long, because it may prove, depending on how the jury rules that the former president did in fact rape somebody in the nineties. Trial was set for April 25th. Taina says, well, hold your horses, folks. We can’t go to trial right now. I don’t know if you notice this, but my client just got indicted in New York. So Taina is begging the judge. Listen, obviously a lot of people got their minds made up about my client here, and we just want time for it to, as he says, cool down. Let’s let it cool down for a bit before he has to go in front of another jury that’s going to determine whether or not he sexually assaulted somebody. But here’s the thing, Joe, when, and you know this, Joe, I don’t even know why I’m explaining it to you. I’m do, I’m acting like I’m explaining it to you so I can explain it to the audience. When you’re doing any kind of trial, one of the things you want to do, especially if you’re trying to prove bad behavior, is to establish a pattern of bad behavior, which of course is why you lost the motion to bar other witnesses who say that Trump assaulted them from, from the trial.
But it’s also why that case in New York, believe it or not, is actually relevant because that case in New York, those indictments are actually just further proof that this guy doesn’t like to follow the law. Now, the law could be don’t falsify business documents or the law could be don’t sexually assault somebody in a department store dressing room. Doesn’t matter what it is, because if these, uh, plaintiff’s lawyers are able to establish that this man has a pattern of behavior where he clearly ignores the law, then that actually bolsters their case. And that’s actually what you’re afraid of. That jury that’s gonna hear this case, whether it starts on April 25th, or whether it starts a month from then, they’re not gonna have forgotten those Trump indictments, that that’s not something that’s just gonna be swept under the rug and go away. So those, as you call them, uh, uh, what is it, the, the prejudicial feelings they may have, they’re not gonna go away. It’s not gonna cool down.
Your client is a guy that most of the country believes should be prosecuted. That’s not going to change by giving the jurors, in this case, an extra month. They’re scared of what this case could prove. That’s what this is about. They’re not worried that the jury’s gonna come in with these preconceived notions. Well, it turns out that for, you know, almost a decade at this point, she had been bringing drugs into the country and then acted as the distribution point sending them all over the country. So she was getting drugs from China according to the allegations, from China, from India, from all of these foreign countries, just having them shipped to her in the mail.
Yeah. While, she’s using WhatsApp.
Yeah.
I mean, she’s coordinating with WhatsApp and coordinating with the police, with the police’s own equipment.
Right. She’s using their computers.
Eight years.
To set up her drug ring. And it all is happening under the nose of these police officers, like you said, for eight straight years. And then she finally gets popped and she says, oh, clearly it was my housekeeper that’s smuggling all these drugs and sending them from my home. But her methods are becoming more and more prevalent that we’re seeing with these drugs smugglers.
That’s the story. That’s the story, isn’t it? I mean, the reason we’re doing this story is not because of that event that took place in California. There’s this real pervasive use of a lot of creative things that are being done. Talk about a few that we’ve already discussed.
Yeah. So she was disguising it as makeup. And what you do is you take, you know, a pack of makeup that has different powders and colors in it. You empty that out, you replace one or two of ’em with a powdered drug. That way somebody opens it up, it looks normal. She can, you know, well, not she, but you can bake it to look like candy. That is something that we see. You could.
That’s, that was the wedding gift. It was candy.
Yeah. I’ve got you all of these lovely chocolates, but it’s actually just drugs. We’re seeing them put it in shampoo bottles. In lotion bottles. They’re liquefying drugs to be able to send them, get them in and out of the country. It truly is massive. The ingenuity of these drug smugglers. I mean, not to give them credit, but you kind of have to because the creativity is off the charts and we’re falling behind on being able to detect them.
DEA doesn’t have a chance here. I mean, that’s the real story. They, they’re not funding the DEA. They’re not training the DEA. They’re not keeping up with times. We talked about one where they’re putting on, where tourists are bringing the drugs back in, the magnet story.
Yeah. Yeah. What the cartels down in Mexico have started doing is they’ll put a package of drugs with a giant magnet on top, cover it in mud on a road. The tourist will drive over it, the magnet sticks to the bottom of the car and most of the time, you know, it’s just your average everyday tourist, they’re able to get through with no problem on the border because the bottom of the package will also be caked in mud so that it looks like, oh, your undercarriage is dirty. You ran through mud. No problem. Keep going. So they’re using anyone as a mule that they can find, even people who don’t know they’re being used. And of course, that creates massive problems for these people when they get caught because they had no idea that they were bringing drugs into the country.
This story tells me that the DEA is fighting a losing battle and somehow, if they’re serious about it, need to adjust.
